Dermatology

Meet Our Team

Our pediatric dermatology team utilizes some of the most advanced approaches available to diagnose and address a wide range of skin, hair and nail issues, from infections to genetic and developmental disorders, many unique to children alone. We recognize the importance of addressing each condition not only from a medical level but also from a social and emotional level. We only serve newborns, children and adolescents, and due to their still-developing minds and bodies, make an extra effort to provide this type of comprehensive care. Dermatological issues can be more than skin deep; they can affect your child’s self-image and self-esteem at a very sensitive stage in their young lives.

Tace S. Rico, MD

Dr. Rico completed an advanced research fellowship in contact dermatitis with a focus on pediatric patch testing and is one of the few physicians to have this credential. She is the recipient of multiple honors and awards and is published in numerous prestigious dermatologic medical journals. Dr. Rico received her bachelor’s degree in literature, minoring in British and Russian studies, at Florida State University, Tallahassee, Florida. She subsequently continued her studies, earning her medical degree with a research distinction at Miller School of Medicine in Miami. Dr. Rico served her internship and residency at University of Miami-Jackson Memorial Hospital, Miami, Florida, and serves on the voluntary faculty of both the University of Central Florida, Orlando, Florida, and the University of Miami.
