Chemotherapy

Reasons for Chemotherapy

Because of how aggressively some cancer cells develop, an aggressive approach must be taken to eliminate and/or slow their growth. Chemotherapy drugs work to destroy any cancer cells with which they come into contact by inhibiting their ability to grow, and mitigating the spread of malignant tissue.

Proven in its ability to defeat cancer, this technique has long been used with great success in the treatment of many different malignancies. Due to its effectiveness, chemotherapy is often used in conjunction with other cancer treatments, like the surgical removal of tumors and radiation therapy.
