Cavernous Malformation

Screening and Tests for Cavernous Malformation

Screening for cavernous malformation usually begins with a medical history and physical exam, although the final diagnosis is made with imaging tests that show areas of blood flow, such as an MRI scan, CT scan and electroencephalogram. Blood tests and genetic tests may also be used.
