At Florida Hospital Carrollwood, we take to heart the importance of our community alliances. Specifically, we have two initiatives designed to build patient loyalty and foster a relationship of trust with our neighbors.
The first is a partnership with the Carrollwood Area Business Association (CABA), one of the largest Chamber of Commerce-type organizations in the area, and made up of influential members of our community. We work with CABA on several levels, including hosting hospital and health-related events and including these leaders in milestone events. The second is our Community Advisory Council, which is also made up of community leaders. We provide these leaders with exclusive hospital-related education opportunities, and they act as our ambassadors to the community.
In addition, our hospital has initiated physician-led wellness programs, which we employ to help our neighbors live healthier, more active lives. We are also involved in the Congregational Health Model project, in which we seek to build strong bridges between our hospital and local faith organizations as part of our effort to encourage wellness in our community. Finally, our Employee Action Committee has adopted a local school, Egypt Lake Elementary, for which we raise money for back-to-school supplies, food and clothing for the holidays.
These initiatives are but a part of our continuing efforts to make the Carrollwood community as healthy as possible. At Florida Hospital Carrollwood, we believe that our mission of extending the healing ministry of Christ can do just as much good within our hospital, as it can within our community.
