At Florida Hospital Carrollwood, we’re proud to offer our neighbors compassionate, expert, cutting-edge care. Our record and awards demonstrate our commitment to patient care and safety using the latest, most advanced technological resources available. In everything we do, both our care and our service, we strive to treat our hospital visitors and patients like family. We take seriously our solemn duty to make each experience the best one possible.
As an example of this dedication to patient care and safety, Adventist Health System, the largest Protestant not-for-profit health care provider in the United States and the manager of the Florida Hospital system, recently awarded us its award for Most Improved Patient Safety Culture.
In conjunction with the Daisy Foundation, we are also proud to recognize nurses who provide an exemplary level of care with the DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses. This award is given four times a year to nurses who go above and beyond the call of duty, and who model our commitment to extending the healing ministry of Christ to our community.
In April 2013, HIMSS Analytics, a company that focuses on improving healthcare organizations’ decision-making through better data services, bestowed upon us its top honor, the acute-care Stage 7 award. This award measures our progress using electronic patient records; only 1.96 percent of the more than 5,000 hospitals in the HIMSS database nationwide have earned this distinction.
Because we’ve succeeded in creating an entirely paperless system for medical records, we can share patient information quickly and seamlessly with other health care providers to streamline patient care, and use a vast database of clinical information to improve care, patient safety and outcomes.
At Florida Hospital Carrollwood, we’re putting technology to work for you.
