Astrocytic Tumor

Stages of Astrocytic Tumor

The grading of a tumor can give you a sense of how quickly it may grow. Grades I and II are considered low grade, while grades III and IV are high grade. Low-grade tumors grow slowly and are unlikely to spread; these tumors can sometimes be removed surgically, though grade II tumors may come back afterward. High-grade tumors are more likely to grow quickly, spread to other parts of the brain and recur after initial treatment.
