Aortic Dissection

Symptoms and Signs of Aortic Dissection

The signs of aortic dissection can vary, depending on the location and extent of the aortic wall tear. The most common among aortic dissection symptoms is strong and consistent pain in the upper back and or in the chest. This pain may feel as if it’s “ripping” and may move from one location to another. It is often described as a pain that radiates to the back.
