Robotic Surgical Services

Florida Hospital Altamonte is at the forefront of advanced medical treatment and is proud to be the first hospital in Seminole County to offer robotic surgery using the latest robotic technology, the da Vinici® Si Surgical System. Patients seeking minimally invasive surgery for complex procedures no longer need to travel far from home for advanced options.

Florida Hospital Altamonte is proud to offer robotically assisted surgical procedures in urology, general, colorectal, and gynecological surgery. Our talented surgical team utilizes the da Vinici® Si Surgical System, enhancing their capabilities through high-definition 3D vision and a magnified view, while micro-instruments increase precision - greatly reducing pain, scarring, recovery time and hospital stays. Your doctor controls the da Vinici® Si Surgical System, which translates his/her hand movements into smaller, more precise movements made by tiny instruments. Though it is often called a "robot," the da Vinici® Si Surgical System cannot act on its own. Instead, the surgery is performed entirely by your doctor. Cutting edge technology only goes so far without the hands of experienced, skilled surgeons.  Medical Director of Minimally Invasive Surgery and Robotics at Altamonte, William Huether, III, MD, FACS, answered some frequently asked questions in a recent interview with Fox35 Together, da Vinci ® Si technology and the surgeons have the ability to perform complex procedures through just a few small openings.
