Meet Our Team

The Advanced Surgical Care Specialists team is made up of an elite group of specialists who bring their vast experience together to treat some of the most complex conditions affecting the upper gastrointestinal system.

Care Coordinator 

Dianne Duncan, RN, BSN

Care Coordinator Dianne Duncan, RN, BSN, is passionate about patient education. She has been with Florida Hospital for more than 15 years. Dianne is dedicated to guiding patients through the diagnosis and treatment of acid reflux disease. She obtained an Associate of Science degree in nursing from Southern Adventist University and earned a Bachelors of Science degree from Florida Hospital College of Health Sciences.

Gastroenterologists 

Irteza B. Inayat, MD

Dr. Inayat is board certified in gastroenterology and internal medicine, and fellowship trained in gastroenterology, hepatology and endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP). He completed his residency, along with an extensive fellowship, at Yale University School of Medicine, where he received the coveted John W. Brackett Residency Teacher of the Year Award.

Ahmad Idris, MD

Dr. Idris is board certified in gastroenterology and internal medicine, and fellowship trained in gastroenterology and hepatology. He completed his residency at Fairview Health System in Cleveland, OH followed by a Fellowship at the University of Tennessee School of Medicine in Memphis, TN where he served as Chief of Gastroenterology Fellows.

William L Huether, MD

Surgery, General

Dr. Huether joined Advanced Surgical Care Specialists in 1999. He received his medical degree from the University of South Florida College of Medicine in Tampa, Florida. Dr. Huether went on to complete his surgical residency at the University of Florida at Shands. Now, as a partner at the practice, he has been an integral part of expanding the group’s advanced laparoscopic procedures. Dr. Huether has special interest in minimally invasive surgery and robotic surgery. Dr. Huether’s meticulous care and follow up allows his patients to return to their normal activities as early as possible. Dr. Huether has held many surgical leadership positions in the community and currently is the Director of Minimally Invasive Surgery/Robotics at Florida Hospital Altamonte.

Eric Rideman, DO

Surgery, General

Dr. Rideman is a fellowship-trained surgeon with advanced training in minimally invasive and robotic surgery. After graduating from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, he completed his general surgery residency as Chief Resident at the Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine/University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, and then undertook an advanced fellowship in minimally invasive and bariatric surgery at Northwest Hospital in Randallstown, MD. 

Dr. Rideman is a member of the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons and the Society of Laparoscopic Surgeons. 

John W Robertson, MD

Surgery, General

Dr. Robertson joined Advanced Surgical Care Specialists in 1985 and has been serving the community since that time. After completing undergraduate work at the University of Tennessee, Dr. Robertson received a graduate degree in immune chemistry at the University of Florida, where he also completed both his medical degree and surgical residency. Dr. Robertson has held multiple professional offices and has served on both state and national surgical committees. He has continued his training in advanced surgical techniques including stereotactic breast biopsies, breast-sparing cancer procedures, and minimally invasive laparoscopic and robotic procedures for gallbladder, colon, stomach, hernias, and reflux procedures.

Creighton Fiscina, MD

Surgery, General

General Surgeon, Creighton D. Fiscina joins Advanced Surgical Care Specialists with exceptional experience in providing care for patients and has performed more than 1600 open laparoscopic, and robotic invasive to minimally invasive surgical cases. He earned his medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine in Dominica, West Indies and completed a residency in general surgery at Central Florida’s only Level I Trauma Center. Dr. Fiscina has published and presented medical research, spent time teaching medical students and is a member of the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons (SAGES).

Dr. Nathan C DeAngelis, DO

Surgery, General

Dr. DeAngelis is a board-certified general surgeon with advanced training in minimally invasive laparoscopic and robotic-assisted surgery. After graduating from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Pennsylvania, he completed his general surgery residency at Midwestern University in Illinois. He then undertook an advanced fellowship in minimally invasive and bariatric surgery at Baltimore, Maryland’s Johns Hopkins University-affiliated hospital.

Prafulla K. Kirtane, MD

Gastroenterology Internal Medicine

Dr. Kirtane is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and specializes in gastroenterology and internal medicine.  He received his medical degree from Baroda Medical College and is currently board eligible as an internal medicine specialist.
