Of all acute pancreatitis symptoms, the most common is severe pain in the upper abdomen. This pancreas pain may be accompanied by other symptoms, including:

  •       Gassy, bloated feeling
  •       Hiccups

  •       Jaundice, the slight yellowing of skin and whites of eyes
  •       Swelling in the abdomen
  •       Clay-colored bowel movements
  •       Fever 
  •       Vomiting
