Committing to Women Living to a Healthy 100

Committing to Women Living to a Healthy 100

Today’s woman is a multi-tasker. She’s a mom, wife, friend, sister. She’s a counselor, coach and champion. She takes care of everyone around her, barely leaving room to take care of herself.

What she is not doing is living to a Healthy 100. The average life expectancy of a woman living in the United States is 71. The top two causes of death are heart disease, which is caused by preventable conditions including obesity, lack of exercise, high cholesterol and high blood pressure; and cancer, which is treatable if detected early.

Florida Hospital wants to change the trajectory of women’s health through innovation, access and a focus on wellness. Our vision is to serve women throughout every stage of their life. We want every woman to be a Healthy 100 Woman.

Innovation

2012 will be a ground-breaking year at Florida Hospital. Three new expansions at Florida Hospital Orlando, Celebration Health and Winter Park Memorial Hospital will serve as pillars of women’s health in Central Florida. These expansions will extend a comprehensive continuum of care to all women through innovative programs, revolutionary technology, pioneering research and world-class physicians, from prevention to treatment and beyond.

Wellness

When technology and innovation meet mission and personalized care, women are able to overcome challenges and continue on their journey to a Healthy 100. That’s why we want every woman in Central Florida to become a Healthy 100 Woman and take control of their health journey. Make a commitment today.

Access

Florida Hospital already has 8 campuses which offer women’s health services and 13 locations which offer imaging services needed to detect cancer. Starting in 2013, the Healthy 100 Women Mobile Mammography van will be action. More details to come on how you can bring the Mobile Mammo van to your home or office.
