We Live and Breathe Quality Care
Pulmonary Functions
Florida Hospital offers pulmonary function testing at six facilities: Orlando, Winter Park, East Orlando, Altamonte, Apopka and Celebration.
Physicians may order a variety of specific tests to determine lung function and baseline status. Doctors use the results to determine diagnosis or rule out disease processes for their patients.
Pulmonary Function Testing for Inpatients And Outpatients
You can receive pulmonary function testing while you’re an inpatient or you can schedule testing as an outpatient through Florida Hospital Central Scheduling. Bedside pulmonary function screening is available at each of the six campuses along with overnight pulse oximetry, which is used in diagnosing sleep apnea. Advanced diagnostic testing at the Orlando campus Pulmonary Function Laboratory includes infant pneumocardiograms, hydrogen breath testing, lactose and lactulose testing.

Monitored exercise sessions and educational classes are led by specially trained professional staff. The sessions focus on both the physical and mental challenges of pulmonary diseases to help each patient achieve the highest possible functional capacity allowable by his/her condition and life style.
