Florida Hospital Orlando’s Cardiovascular Institute
Leading the way for more than 40 years, Florida Hospital Orlando’s Cardiovascular Institute has been consistently listed as one of the nation’s premier centers for fighting heart disease.
Each year, the institute conducts nearly 15,000 advanced cardiac procedures, including 2,300 open-heart surgeries, 9,500 heart catheterizations, 1,900 electrophysiology studies and 1,100 pacemaker and defibrillator surgical implants.
In addition, the Cancer Institute is nationally and internationally recognized for its cardiac research studies, which offer new treatment options and state-of-the-art technologies that are available to patients months, if not years, before they are available to the public.
These efforts are supported by a team of 135 board-certified cardiologists and cardiovascular surgeons and more than 1,000 skilled cardiac and critical care nurses, cardiovascular technicians, physical therapists and cardiac rehab and nutrition specialists. These experts work in concert with your primary physician to deliver the very best heart care available in the country, from early detection to post-operative rehabilitation.
