Behavioral Health’s Assessment Center

Located at Florida Hospital Orlando, the Behavioral Health’s Assessment Center is a one-stop resource for mental health assessments and referrals. Our Helpline staff is on duty 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to help you. All phone calls are completely confidential.

At the other end of the line are skilled clinicians with master’s level education who have been specially trained to conduct mental health assessments. Your needs are carefully assessed, mental health benefits are verified and you will be referred to a clinic or program that your insurer covers.

The Assessment Center also treats patients on an inpatient and outpatient basis. The center operates four inpatient units, including Intensive Treatment Unit North, Intensive Treatment Unit South, Progressive Treatment Unit and the Psychiatric Medical Unit.

If you’re treated on an outpatient basis, we have a team of staff psychiatrists who provide you with a comprehensive range of services, from your initial evaluation to medication management. Each of these professionals works closely with therapists in the area who can provide you with uninterrupted patient care of the highest quality.
