Q. How do I get started as a Florida Hospital Orlando volunteer?

A. Please see the How To Volunteer section and sign up for orientation.

Q. At what age can I volunteer?

A.  You must be at least 15 years of age to volunteer.

Q.  Do you take court ordered service hours?

A.  We do not accept court ordered service hours. However, the following organization do accept them:

•    American Red Cross
•    Beta Center
•    Crises Nursery
•    Goodwill Industries
•    Habitat for Humanity, Inc.
•    Healthcare Center for the Homeless
•    Orlando Union Rescue Mission
•    United Way/Community Involvement

Q. How long before I can start volunteering?

A.  After you attend orientation, have your interview and we receive your clinical and background check results. you are ready to go.

Q. I recently had a TB test in the last 6 months. May I use this?

A. No, the hospital requires its own TB test (remember it's just a skin test).
