Medical Residency Programs

Nursing Allied Health Continuing Education

Florida Hospital is an authorized provider of the American Heart Association, the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Emergency Nurse Association certification courses. We provide certification courses for both Florida Hospital employees and the community including ACLS, BLS, PALS, and other critical care certifications.

Pharmacy Residency Programs

Florida Hospital and Florida Hospital for Children Departments of Pharmacy are committed to post-graduate training and offer 3 different residencies: a PGY-1 Pharmacy Practice Program at Florida Hospital Health System, a PGY-1 Pharmacy Practice (Ambulatory Care) Program at Florida Hospital Celebration Health, and a PGY-2 Pediatric Program at Florida Hospital for Children. Each residency program is 12 months with full-time curriculums providing residents with intensive training to enhance their clinical knowledge, facilitate independent practice, and build leadership skills.


Phlebotomy Education Program

The Phlebotomy Education Program at Florida Hospital is an important part of the hospital's Clinical Laboratory Education Program. The training program is located in the clinical laboratory. It is an eight-week course, offered up to three times a year. The first four weeks are didactic instruction, followed by four weeks of clinical experience. Small classes of up to 10 students ensure personal attention.
